At MotoMeteo, we respect your privacy. This policy outlines how we handle your data.

Data Collection

We process device identifiers for security and abuse prevention, including detecting and blocking misuse of our APIs. No personal data is linked to this identifier.

Basic statistics

We store daily usage totals without visitor IDs or individual event histories. Enabled by default; you can turn this off separately.

Umami

Self-hosted Umami measures website page views and store clicks by default; you can turn this off in Analytics settings. Selected mobile app actions are measured only with your permission in the app's Privacy settings. The website and app have separate preferences. Network and browser/app information can link events into visits. Umami processes your IP address. Website links can supply limited campaign labels (UTM tags), for example from a printed QR code, to identify the source of a visit. We send no account or device IDs, route details, other URL parameters or referrers. Choices are saved on this device. We respect saved declines and browser privacy signals.

When website analytics is enabled, limited campaign labels can also be passed through Google Play. With your permission in the app, Android can save these labels for app analytics and RevenueCat subscription records to measure campaign conversions. This compares campaigns; it does not identify a website visitor as a particular app user.

Anonymous performance information

MotoMeteo receives app startup and update-download timings, together with operating-system and app-version information, to help improve reliability. These measurements are sent through Cloudflare to our own monitoring system. These measurements exclude device, installation, session and account identifiers, routes, coordinates and error logs. They follow the same privacy choice as anonymous usage analytics; a saved decline is always respected.

Location Data

We use your location to provide weather forecasts along your itinerary. This data is processed on-the-fly to calculate riding conditions and is not stored permanently on our servers.

Third Party Services

We use external weather and routing providers to calculate your trip data. These providers receive coordinates but no personal identifiers.

Website checklist progress

Each website checklist stores checked item IDs in your browser’s local storage. These ticks are not sent to MotoMeteo or synced between devices. Reset the checklist or clear this website’s stored data to remove them.
